Before You Vote
Make sure you're ready. Here's a quick checklist.
Check your voter registration
The registration deadline for the primary is approximately April 20, 2026 (fifth Monday before Election Day). Verify your status at Georgia My Voter Page.
Have a valid photo ID ready
Georgia requires a valid photo ID to vote in person. See the accepted ID list below.
Know your polling location
For Election Day voting, you must go to your assigned precinct. For early voting, you can visit any early voting site in your county. Look it up at mvp.sos.ga.gov.
Confirm you're in GA-7

Accepted Photo ID
You'll need one of these to vote in person in Georgia.
Georgia driver's license (even if expired)
Valid state or federal government photo ID
Valid U.S. passport
Valid U.S. military photo ID
Valid employee photo ID (government entity)
Valid tribal photo ID
Free voter ID card (from county registrar or DDS)
For absentee voting, you'll need to provide your Georgia driver's license number or state ID number on your application. No photo ID is mailed in.
